Be an economics Professor at Columbia University

or the President of the US Soccer Federation

or both, like Sunil Gulati.

I saw a poster in the U math building listing a whole litany of jobs a math degree can help you get. I was pretty surprised. Why do you think it is, though, that 68%* of all college graduates don't go into the fields they got their bachelor's degrees in?

*P.S. 77% of statistics are made up on the spot. and all generalizations are false
